Behind the Name

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.” (Romans 15:4)

We live in a world where so many people are looking for hope.

If we are honest, many of us have experienced valleys that have left us feeling alone, or wondering what the point of life really is. Maybe this is where you find yourself right now.

The truth is we were created for something more. The Bible tells us that there is an eternal hope that is crafted into the human heart (Ecc. 3:11). We were not simply made for this world or the things it offers; we were crafted for eternity.

Though sin had entered the world, the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross has given a bright hope that is present even in the darkest days.

Followers of Christ can eagerly await a day when we will see Him face to face.

Until then, here is a hope we are given every day on this earth. As believers, we never have to walk alone again once we know Him. Through the love of Christ, there is a hope that lives on. This is a truth that cannot be shaken, despite the waves of feelings or even the changes in circumstances.

We can encounter this hope and let the truth of Scripture remind us that God is not done with us yet.

I pray that these words encourage you today, wherever you are.

Together, may we daily remind ourselves to keep going because of the depth of His love for us.

May we not grow weary but awaken to the hope which is calling out.

God bless,
