A Prayer for When We Need to Be Silent
“For You Lord are merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love” (Psalm 86:15)
Silence the noise that scatters your mind. Leave behind what has distracted your heart for so long. Lay aside that which competes for your attention and come boldly to His throne of grace.
Abba Father,
We quiet ourselves before your presence today.
For you alone, oh Lord, make our hearts find rest. You still the waters of our soul, renewing us for the works crafted for us to do. Leading us beside the pastures of your love, for you alone restore our whole being. The peace we have been longing for can only be found within Your arms of love.
For you are our God. And earnestly, we will seek you.
You are what we have been searching for our entire lives.
So fill us with your Holy Spirit, that we may pour out our love upon the earth. People are in need of the truth that comes from the Author of life.
Open our ears to hear that which we need to listen to in these times.
Open our hearts to your presence, that from our hearts we would praise the Mighty God over all.
Open our eyes. So that we may see the pain that surrounds us but also the healing balm of Your love.
Open our souls to the wonder of who You are. That we might see the beauty that is right before our eyes.
Open our spirit to be satisfied with Your Word. Every morning, and every night.
Draw us near with the sound of your loving voice, for we are eager to hear from you. As we proclaim that communing with you is essential, not just in words, but in action.
Sharpen our minds, that we may contemplate the things of You. Leads us to understanding that brings humility as we encounter a greater awareness of that which we live by faith.
Make us more aware of the depths of your love. For the days are dark, the present evil, but your promises are forever strong. For you will surely not leave us as orphans. But come to us in the fullness of your grace.
So come, Lord Jesus. For we want to see you high and lifted up. Let us be your vessels, for we are waiting here for you.

Beautiful Kelly. Words of truth and thought and Spirit provoking.
Thank you Sarah! God bless
